Cleevillians quickly settled into their stride against a very young but enthusiastic Lydney team and fully deserved their emphatic victory.

Stuart Skinner opened the scoring from the edge of the D with Martin Halls adding the second before Sean Flanagan put Cleevillians 3-0 up from a short corner.

Tom North skilfully slotted in the fourth before an incapacitated Vince Clark came on as an injury replacement to score the 5th goal. Martin Halls scored again to give Cleevillians a 6-0 half time lead.

After the break Cleevillians scored another eight goals which could easily have been double that but for an exceptional performance from the young Lydney keeper. Vince Clark netted twice after the break and scored his 4th of the game with the last hit of the match. Martin Halls also scored twice in the second half and there were further goals for Ben Link, Stuart Skinner and man of the match, Tom North.
