Match Report for Sat 15th Nov 2008

Ross 3  Cleevillians 0

In a very even game, played at a fast tempo, Cleevillians lost to 3 late Ross goals.

The first half saw Tom North and Martin Halls go close for the Cleevillians, whilst stand-in goal keeper, Rob Link made some good saves to keep Ross out, including a penalty flick save.

After the restart, both keepers made some good saves before Ross took the lead with just 10 minutes remaining.  Their goal came from a short corner after the initial shot was beaten away by Rob Link.  Shortly later Ross slotted a second with a smart reverse stick shot from a narrow angle.  Cleevillians then went down to 9 men through ill-discipline and conceded a further goal with 2 minutes remaining.

Despite the loss, and this without 5 regular team mates a draw would have been a fair result.  Once again Toby Flanagan was Cleevillians man of the match.
